This pair of buildings, at numbers 54 and 39 St. Felix Street, look like they belong a few blocks further West around the Fulton Mall rather than on a brownstone block, albeit one of the less impressive ones in Fort Greene. The building on the right is a little worse for the wear, having been stripped of much of its original facade. Nevertheless, it still has what may be our favorite element–the original barn-style doors. When do people thing these were built? 1890s? GMAP
Hmmm. Maybe we have the street numbers wrong. It seems highly unlikely that these are new construction. The one on the right clearly is a modified version of the one on the left, which would seem strange if they were both built in 2002…Anyone near there who can check?
Yep, new construction, my bad:

Quite a bad dev. project, 5 ECB violations and 2 DOB…and guess what…Self Certified.
I’ll have to change my post from lostinbrooklyn to lostintransit…damn Jedi mind tricks
Go figure. We’ll one of them looks nice, at least.
unless 1899 is the same as 2002, i think this post needs re-writing.
I dunno – Propshark shows new construction by same owner of both props. So – what does that go to show about the armchair architectural critics around here.
The one on the left looks really nice.
I like having a mixture of different types and styles of buildings rather than just a row of brownstones that look exactly alike.
This is new const. There’s nothing orig about them. I used to work around the corner bet 2000 and 2003
But, hell I could be wrong…there was an empty lot on St. Felix forever, but I don’t remeber two of them.
Getting old though, so the mind may be playing Jedi mind tricks on itself.
Not new construction. Gut reno’s from what I remeber. The $$ was put into the one on the lfet. The right, well…coulda been a Fedders box.
Uh – is this a joke? These are new construction.
