Thinking of buying a brownstone or townhouse in Brooklyn — or already own one? Join us for an evening of fireside chats with three brownstone and townhouse experts about what you need to know.

Donald Brennan of Brennan Real Estate, Adam Dahill of loanDepot and Tambi Kat of Design Build Enterprise will talk about the history, care, purchase, financing and renovation of houses in Brooklyn at Brownstones and Townhouses 101.

They will answer questions about features to look for when buying, where the market is at, financing for tricky situations, landlord basics, and what kind of renovations to do to maximize beauty, livability and value.

The event is the second evening in the Brownstoner Home Events series, a program of workshops and panels for prospective home buyers, sellers and homeowners. The first event, What First-Time Buyers Need to Know, attracted a standing-room-only crowd in April.

There will be snacks and drinks from Oaxaca Taqueria. Brownstones and Townhouses 101 takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture at 53 Prospect Park West in Park Slope.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. All attendees receive a Bed Bath & Beyond gift card with a value of $10.
