“What First-Time Home Renovators Need to Know” panelists, including Petri Plumbing and Bolster, will cover budgeting, financing options, how to compare contractor bids, and filing with the Department of Buildings. Kristen Chuber of Paintzen will talk about how to make a big impact with paint without spending a lot of cash.
Sponsors are Petri Plumbing, Bolster, Paintzen, Gotham Brokerage and Kaiyo, an online marketplace for buying and selling used furniture. Drinks and light bites will be provided by Oaxaca Taqueria.
The event takes place Wednesday, June 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brooklyn Historical Society. Tickets are $10, but free to the first 25 people who sign up.
