796 Franklin Avenue, right off Eastern Parkway, used to be Scarlett Ribbons Thrift Shop. A commenter on Brooklynian noticed tell-tale brown paper in the windows, and there’s a rumor a wine store is moving in. That certainly would be nice for the block! GMAP

  1. Stringer Bell makes an excellent point. Alcohol kills more people and ruins far more lives than a pawn shop ever will.

  2. If they served prohibition-style cocktails and used those arc lamp things out front, I think a bordello would be quite well-received.

  3. Is this also owned by Eugene Josovips, the owner of the Pawn Shop? Is he creating an empire of storefront vice? What’s next for Franklin Ave a bordello??
