Join Today Show lifestyle and fitness correspondent Jenna Wolfe, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and swing band Stomp Society at Habitat for Humanity’s first-ever Habitat House Party.

The event, on Thursday, October 20 at 180 Maiden Lane, in Manhattan’s Seaport district, will raise funds for Habitat NYC’s upcoming projects.

Guests will interact with live-art installations, including the work of Brooklyn-based street-artist-turned-sculptor Leon Reid IV, and construct a scale model of an upcoming project on Ralph Avenue in Brooklyn.

Families that have been helped by Habitat NYC will tell their stories at the event, underscoring Habitat’s mission — the importance of quality, affordable homes for families in need.

Habitat will be honoring Bronx Borough president Diaz. Since taking office in 2009, Diaz has overseen the development of more than $5.8 billion in new housing borough-wide —23,824 units.

The borough president is partnering with Habitat NYC for its most ambitious project to date – the Sydney House, a proposed 57-unit building in the Williamsbridge section of the borough. Upon completion, the Sydney Houses will be the largest Habitat structure in the U.S.
