TOH-brooklyn-facade-0109.jpgThe first installment of This Olde House’s first foray into Brooklyn airs tonight, giving viewers a close-up look at the renovation of a three-family brownstone in Prospect Heights. My first thought was, what took you so long? said or Charles Lockwood, author of Bricks and Brownstone. In addition to the media attention, the owners are getting hooked up with Andersen windows and Kohler fixtures in addition to the free advice from the likes of Norm Abram.

  1. lol @ plummer’s crack. it’s actually called a Coin Slot these days. youtube search “lindsay lohen coin slot snl” you will crack up

it’s a commercial for coin slot cream. for when your coin slot gets dry and itchy lol

    *rob*

  2. Like free round all around whenever we see Rich Trethewey’s “plumber’s crack” LOL

My partner in Philly is in love with Kevin O’Connor.

  3. Sounds like an awesome time. I’m having a hard time figuring out what bar would be willing to put it up on the big screen, but I sense an opportunity for many drinking games to develop.

Then Brownstoner could run a column every Friday doing a reality check and score like NY Mag does with gossip girl.

  4. That’s a very good idea Park Place. I’d imagine the audience would be hurling bitchy remarks about recessed lighting, etc similar to a bunch of fags watching “The Women” and I mean the 1938 version, not that POS that just came out.

  5. The dates might be off by a week. I think the next episode to air will be the “wrap party” for the current project.

  6. NYT article says:
“The first episode will be shown nationally on Jan. 22, but New Yorkers will have to wait until Jan. 24, when it will be shown at 7 p.m. on Channel 13.”

  7. I’m not sure you’re right about tonight, Brownstoner. Thisoldhouse.com says it’s not airing until Saturday at 7:00 on PBS and a quick check through my DVR confirms that. If I’ve overlooked the broadcast, please let me know – I don’t want to miss it!
