Garbage Shed Recos?

Garbage Shed Recos?

Hi. We need the top of our garbage shed rebuilt - it's completely rotted away after this rainy summer. Any recos for inexpensive carpenters who can do this quickly in Bklyn Heights?

Custom Wood Bookcases

Can anyone recommend a fine carpenter who could build me a wall of bookshelves with cabinets below? I'm moving mid-December and need them for the new apartment.
Thanks,

need carpenter for parquet floor

Hi all--I am in need of a good RELIABLE carpenter! I have a small area of parquet oak flooring that needs to be replaced (about five square feet) as well as some patching along where some
kitchen walls were removed. We have replacement tiles, but they would need to be cut/sanded/stained.

This job is a day's work. Had a guy on the job but he flaked last minute, so I'm looking for someone who can be trusted to do the job and do it right!

Thanks.

Thanks.

Repairing Brownstone Doors

I'm hoping someone can refer a carpenter who can properly repair (and possibly refinish) the wooden double doors on my brownstone. Years ago, the fire deparment "made their way" through these doors while no one was home, and they have been rather pieced together for some time. They are painted and have large panes of the original beveled glass. I've noticed that the molding on the bottom of one door has basically been disintergrating...and I'm now very concerned to see the glass beginning to slip down.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to a carpenter who can handle something like this?

Thanks!!!

Bracing a Built-In Desk?

When we renovated our apartment, we turned a closet into a small home office. We went low end and created a built-in desk out of formica. It's been a few years since the renovation, and I want to brace the desk a little better, but I'm not sure how.

I think I want some sort of brace that goes from the wall (under the desk) to the underneath part of the desk. However, I don't know what this would be called. Any suggestions?

thx.

Amazing Carpenter

I had one of the nicest, most professional carpenters put shelves in my new apartment for me. I'm new to Brooklyn Heights and had no clue where to look. I found a recommendation on Brownstoner and went with it. If you ever need an honest, hardworking and affordable carpenter you have to call Patrick. I highly recommend him.
