Red Star is presenting its 1st Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party to benefit the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen. A portion of the proceeds from the event, including all takings from the $2 sweater shots, $3 from every Cazadores shot or drink ordered, and the suggested $10 door donation will be donated to help feed the homeless this holiday season. Half-Off Fridays at Wollman Rink!
Enjoy 50% off regular paid admission to Wollman Rink every Friday. Excludes holiday weekends (11/27, 12/25, 1/1, 2/19). Thought there was nothing better than skating on Brooklyn’s only outdoor rink? The Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea takes place indoors at 81 Front Street in Dumbo. There will be over 40 vintage and antique vendors set up in the 6,000-square-foot space at the corner of Front and Washington Streets from 11 to 6 on both Saturday and Sunday. Take the C train to High Street or the F train to York Street. The Gifted Holiday Market continues both days at 20 East 4th Street in Manhattan as well.

The 2nd Annual Drive for the Stuy
ARISE and Malcolm X Pizzeria present their 2nd Annual Drive for the Stuy. This event is a clothing and food drive for The Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger. All warm clothing of all sizes and non-perishable clothing are needed. There will be live entertainment such as MC’s, poets, and speakers from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. There will also be a moment of silence at 4:30 p.m. in honor of Antoine Stokes, Steven Hill, Derrick Henry, and Jahlal Lee. Blip Festival
The three-day music and arts festival returns to Brooklyn’s Bell House December 17th, 18th, and 19th and is presented by Manhattan arts organization The Tank, in partnership with NYC artist collective 8bitpeoples. Entering its fourth year of celebrating the best and brightest from the realm of chipmusic, the festival showcases the use of the former heavyweights of computing such as the Commodore 64 and Amiga, the Atari ST and 2600, and the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy to create arresting music and visual art. Big Box of Distractions presents Richard Lewis
The Irondale Center presents Big Box of Distractions, a fun-filled day for kids and families. Come feel the magic as Irondale presents highly acclaimed children’s author and poet Richard Lewis in a performance with The Touchstone Center Theatre Ensemble. Following the performance, the audience will be invited to create a gift of a small book with one’s own imagined spaces of the many splendors of our earth and sky.
