Zuzu Ramen, the noodle joint from the proprietors of the Australian pub Sheep Station, is scheduled to to open today. While Zuzu doesn’t have a menu online yet, TONY said to “look for creative varieties with international twists including a Thai-influenced green currymiso ramen.” Brooklynian‘s also taken note of the opening, and one poster had this to say: “I had a preview of green curry ramen soup and it was goooooood. Rich, spicey in a balanced flavorful way – mmmmmmmm. (They’ve been working out the soup recipes and serving them on occasion at Sheepie. I also had some bitchin’ chicken soup with a homemade dumpling during the tryouts.)” The restaurant is on the corner of Degraw and 4th Avenue.

  1. My husband’s a huge ramen fan (lived in Japan for a couple of years) and walked by on opening night. It was packed so, there’s some real noodle lovers out there, $0.25 packages notwithstanding. Will check out this weekend!

  2. I have been to Ghenet, Snark. Just once and I really, really enjoyed it.

Sometimes I forget it’s there though.

I’ll let you know tomorrow if I make it to the Ramen place…

  3. I’ll expect a full report on my desk in the morning, 11217.

Have you been to Ghenet yet? I keep meaning to make it down there to try it.

  4. yeah Im going to walk by here today and might grab something. I almost rented an apartment on douglass between 3rd and 4th and now im kind of regretting it.
