  1. Lots of NY Post and NYT reporters in CG, BH, CH since the ’80s, several of my own family. They would make fun of the new journo late ’90s arrivals who would write about the neighborhood as if they had discovered Nirvana, most of whom were just too lazy to actually venture outside their own area.

    Ps Rob is hilarious.

  2. I’m still undecided on Morning Joe as a number of people here whom I respect like it but I confess I so far don’t care for those two from the times I’ve watched.

  3. There are more than a few NY Times reporters and editors who live in Brooklyn neighborhoods (yes, like Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill) and even send their kids to the public schools here. The ones I know are in their late 30s and 40s and most moved here before those neighborhoods became expensive.

  4. I have to agree with mopar. It’s not so much that NYT reporters all live in PS. It’s that the editors, all of whom live either on West End Avenue or in Larchmont, have discovered Brooklyn by visiting their now-grown kids.
Also, I mostly agree with CGar about rob but I am wondering what happened to the new dharma rob from yesterday. Or is rob only transcendant on the OT?

  5. Rob is right. These writers and especially bloggers are really self absorbed. The bloggers have no life and feel the need to fill their emptiness by writing how important their lives are when all they are is dull.

  6. I enjoy reading most comments including rob’s. Most times his are entertaining. He offers a fresh perspective. He has no inhibitions and is a free spirit and most times will say it as he sees it.

“I have to read his insufferable posts, posts mind you on almost every topic.”

You’re wrong, doldrums. You DON”T HAVE To READ his posts. Posters names appear BEFORE the posts, you can certainly skip over his posts and read the next. YOU choose to read rob’s posts.
