I’m a welder. It’s getting to pricey here to be own a shop. I don’t understand what drives commercial rents in industrial areas. Sunset Park is a good example, Red Hook is a good example. What the heck are these companies that rent there now selling that they can afford to pay exorbitant amounts? As it is people don’t want to pay the price you give them for installing a boiler or air conditioner. They have no idea what it costs just to be a brick and mortar contractor in NYC. It’s very frustrating at times.
