Williamsburg Bank Residential Conversion

The nearly 130-year-old former Lincoln Savings Bank in Williamsburg is getting a residential conversion. Permits have been filed by Blesso Properties to give the historic, but un-landmarked structure at 525-545 Broadway six new floors and 36 apartment units, reported The Real Deal.

Blesso bought the building in August from Broad and Boerum, LLC for $33,000,000.  In addition to the planned apartments, new bottom-floor retail and offices are in the works. A daycare center is slated to occupy the ground level.

Amenities for the building will include a library reading room and fitness center.

Hopefully the developer has clever plans to sound proof the building, as the structure is on the same street as the elevated J, M, and Z lines.
