The Landmark Park Slope on 4th Avenue has just leased 3,300 square feet of space to Gymboree Play & Music, which offers music, art and developmental play classes for children from newborns to five-years old. The company has 550 centers in the U.S. and in 30 countries and two other outlets in Brooklyn. It is building out the space now according to one of the brokers and plans to open in the first quarter of 2015.

The Landmark, which began leasing apartments about a year ago, has 104 units and is completely leased. Though it is a rental, the Karl Fischer-designed building at 267 6th Street has many condo-style amenities including a gym, parking garage, a rooftop terrace with a grill and a terrace on the middle floors. A two-bedroom apartment in the building recently rented for $4,691 a month.

In a press release one of the brokers for CPEX, the firm handling the space, said, “By securing Gymboree Play & Music as their ground floor tenant, not only will the Landmark community benefit from their well-crafted early childhood development programs, but many other Park Slope and neighboring Gowanus families will enjoy their services as well.”

Given the location the Gymboree shouldn’t have any shortage of customers.
