Schematic Posted for Five-Story Apartment Building in Williamsburg

We found this schematic on the fence at the corner of Leonard Street and Montrose Avenue in East Williamsburg, where a five-story building is rising. The apartment building at 73 Montrose will have 40 units spread across 29,731 square feet of residential space, in addition to 2,762 square feet of community space occupied by medical offices, according to new building permits. 

Amenities will include storage, a laundry room, 20 parking spots and a roof deck. However, the DOB just issued a partial stop work order for the site. Permits list the owner as Yidel Hirsch, who paid $4,100,000 for the corner lot in 2012. The applicant of record is engineer Leonid Segal. The 10,000-square-foot property used to house a beverage distributor, and sits across the street from Sternberg Park. GMAP
