The three buildings on this multi-lot site in western Bed Stuy have come a long way since we checked in last summer. Then, foundations were just being poured. Now the units are enclosed and windows are in.

But the construction appears to have had a few hiccups along the way. According to the buildings department, 33 Madison Street and 37 Madison Street both have partial stop work orders, though it appears that the complaint involving a lack of guard rails on a roof opening and other issues have been resolved. The partial stop work order on 35 Madison Street  for similar issues is still active, according to the DOB website.

The site sold in 2011 for $1,827,225. When completed there will be three 31-foot-wide, 40-foot-tall buildings with eight units each. The architect of record is King David Architecture in Flushing. We found the above rendering tacked to the construction fence. For Brooklyn development, it’s not half bad, in our opinion. What do you think of the design?
