Two Apartment Buildings to Replace Wood Frame House on Chauncey Street in Bed Stuy

Two four-story apartment buildings will replace this old wood frame house being demolished at 201 Chauncey Street in Bed Stuy. BuzzBuzzHome spotted the new building applications for 199 and 201 Chauncey yesterday. Each building will house six apartments and have 5,493 square feet of space.

Demolition permits were filed three weeks ago to knock down the house, which dates back to at least the 1880s but could be considerably older, as we reported. The current owner, an LLC, bought the 2,174-square-foot lot for $1,400,000 in February.
