A subcommittee of the City Council OK’d Two Trees’ Domino proposal in exchange for lowering the income requirement for the affordable apartments to 70 percent of the area median income, or about $60,000 a year for a family of four, The Wall Street Journal and numerous other outlets reported.

The City Council and Two Trees worked out a deal to subsidize the lower-income apartments with tax exempt financing. The final City Council vote will be Tuesday. Council Member Stephen Levin is among those supporting the deal.
