Closing Bell: Dirt Bike Track Going in Domino Site

Above, a peek through the construction fence at Domino Site E, where work has started up on a dirt bike track. The track is going in on the western portion of the site, which borders Kent Avenue. Once complete, it’ll go by Havemeyer Park — here’s the Twitter account for the space. Ride Brooklyn, in partnership with the New York City Mountain Bike Association, will offer bikes and a free bike course to ride. The bike course includes a training area for children, novices, and intermediate riders, as well as an advanced pump track for skilled riders. The opening is a little behind schedule — the track was supposed to be ready in late May. Once it’s open, Havemeyer Park will be active until Two Trees begins construction on the Domino Sugar site next year.
