The four-story building at 401-405 State Street just changed hands for $4,200,000, according to Massey Knakal, which handled the sale. It’s configured as an 18,000-square-foot office building but the lot is zoned for a residential development or conversion. There’s no action on the Department of Buildings front yet. Think this’ll be a tear-down or a conversion project? GMAP

  1. This is not the prettiest building, but it is probably in good enough shape to be converted to residences. With the market the way it is, the developer could sell them no matter how homely the building.

Too bad about Daytop, an organization that helped a lot of people.
