Greene Hill Food Co-Op to Open Three Days a Week

What’s up at the Greene Hill Food Co-Op these days, nine months after its soft opening? The store will open for a third day during the week starting Oct. 8. That means there will soon be Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday hours. Also, this Saturday from noon to 6 pm, members will be priming the back wall of the co-op building to prep it for a mural. (If you’re interested in volunteering, email rrobbins46@gmail.com.) And finally, the co-op is holding a free fall party on Saturday, Oct. 6, from noon to 6 pm at the Putnam Triangle. This is the only day non-members will be able to shop at the co-op! For all the details on the fall party, go here. And if you’d like to join Greene Hill, go here.

  • the back wall? the one that faces the lots on fulton? most of those lots sold recently and will be developed soon.

  • Yep, we’ll be cleaning up the back of the building. I guess the info on iminent development of the neighboring blocks might reduce our ardor for artistic expression, but who knows… And while there will be samples of food from vendors and sales by other neighboring shops, I don’t see anything about opening the store to non-members on that day – except for tours.
