Grand Street Weekend Walk Block Party
The Biggest Block Party in East Williamsburg! Come join the Grand Street BID on July 14th and 21st for a fun filled day. Grand Street, between Union Ave and Manhattan Ave, will be the place to be July 14th and 21st noon to 6. The Weekend Walk Block Party will provide the neighborhood with a car free oasis. The Grand Street BID offers this car free Saturday to contemplate and enjoy their public space. All details here.

Fab Fridays
Come out to Fulton Street in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill for FAB Fridays and enjoy FREE ice cream, live music, and urban croquet outside this Friday, July 13! Join the FAB Alliance and these FABulous Fulton Street businesses for FREE ICE CREAM and other summer treats at 6pm (while supplies last) at the Putnam Triangle Plaza! Plus, from 3-8pm there will be FREE URBAN CROQUET, sand art, hula-hoops, and other summer games in Putnam Triangle Plaza.

Brooklyn Flea + Smorgasburg
The Flea and Smorgasburg are on as usual this weekend. On Saturday, the Flea is held at 176 Lafayette Ave. (between Clermont + Vanderbilt Avenues) in Fort Greene. On Sunday, the Flea will be at 27 North 6th Street (between Kent Avenue + East River). Saturday at the Williamsburg location is also the home of our all-food market, Smorgasburg. The Flea features over a 150 vendors offering a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and amazing food. Flea: Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Smorg: Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Free.

An “Appening”: Test Drive the Green-Wood Walking Tour App
Join us in celebrating the creation of our very first Green-Wood walking tour app! Chock full of stories, photos, video and audio, this app is the perfect way to get interactive and immersed in Green-Wood. On July 14, try out our app for the first time in the cemetery and experience it for yourself! Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman will be on hand before you begin to explain the triumphs and tribulations associated with creating such a robust tool. Event: FREE. Reception from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. Opening Reception – BWAC Installation at East River State Park
Saturday, July 14th 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the East River State Park. Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) welcomes everyone to their opening reception at East River State Park on Saturday, July 14. BWAC curated a sculpture installation in the park and welcomes you to speak with the artists. Free!

Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival
Celebrate the eighth year of the festival, headlined by Busta Rhymes! The festival highlights Hip-Hop’s positive legacy as an agent of artistic progression, community building, and social change. This is a ticketed event, presented by Brooklyn Bodega. This Saturday, all day.

Hancock Street Block Party
The 500 Block of Hancock Street (that’s between Lewis and Stuyvesant) is hosting its annual block party tomorrow, July 14, from 10 am to 7 pm. Expect face painting, raffles, karaoke, food and more.
