It’s that time of the year again when Public Advocate Bill De Blasio releases his Worst Landlords List. This year there are 360 buildings on the list, 168 of which, or about 47 percent, are in Brooklyn. Patch has already done a deep dive on the data, focusing on four offenders in Park Slope (304 10th Street; 578 Union Street; 294 Fifth Avenue; 597 Fourth Avenue) and a pair of buildings in Clinton Hill (420 Clinton Avenue and 71 Grand Avenue). Perhaps not surprisingly, most of the high-violation buildings in Brownstone Brooklyn are in Bed Stuy and Crown Heights. Prospect Heights and Carroll Gardens have just one building apiece–181 Park Place and 359 Court Street, respectively–while Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights and Red Hook had none. Williamsburg and Greenpoint were also surprisingly not represented on the list.
