A developer has filed plans with the city to raze the Brooklyn Eagle building at 30 Henry Street, on the corner of Middagh, and construct a six-story building in its place. Public records don’t yet show that the property has changed hands, but it was put on the market earlier this year for $3 million. The Dumbo-based developer named on DOB filings is “Fortis Manor,” and the firm’s plans call for a five-unit building designed by BKSK Architects. The building that houses the Eagle was constructed in 1963. It’s in the Brooklyn Heights Historic District, so the plans are going to have to pass muster with the LPC.
