Work began on the 142-unit rental project at 34-40 Berry Street back in the Spring of 2008. The development has an illustrious history: Gowanus Lounge dubbed the site the Mud Pit of Death and Curbed ran a photo of some of the oil left over from when there were tanks on the property.
