  1. Chicken Jr was in naughty mode so took most of my attention but give me a slap around the chops if you see me in the nabe again.

Have to say that PdT food is nice but overpriced for the area, and my steak came out the size of a hotdog.

  2. The Chicken: yes, at PdT! I was sitting with a friend on the other side by the windows.

Etson: completely agree. Another reason why I can’t stand the so-called “religious right” (except for Huckabee, who at least has a sense of humor).

    bxgrl: thanks, will try it!

  3. mopar….that’s the restaurant i was recommending..yes, excellent. And for great Shanghainese, there’s one on 55th just east of Lexington called Our Place…also John’s on 46th between 6th & 7th

Song Dynasty (S’ Dynasty) on 48th at Lex is very good too…inside one of the hotels

  4. “Look what happing around our country Here come the shooting and it’s just the begining! People are losing their Jobs and looking for someone to blame! Only retards in New York care about Real Estate, everyone else is trying to put food on the table. The collapse of the Mutant Asset Bubble is very devestaing to America and remember what I said about the “Goose Steppers” taking the sheets off, don’t laugh,America is in very bad shape…

The What (Standing on the hill…)”

I don’t disagree with you What. There is a lot of pain out there right now. I’m not laughing.

  5. “Hey the chicken, were you, Mrs. Chicken, and infant chicken having brunch in Ditmas Park on Saturday? If not, it was certainly your evil twin…

Posted by: sixyearsandcounting at April 6, 2009 5:07 PM”

yep, at PdT right? Except that I am the evil one……mwahahaha

  6. 6years- I did have that problem. It seems to be some idiot thing about the program remembering the last configuration you opened with. Opening the browser full size, and if it opens a new window in reduced size, make the new window full size and then close it. I think that was what I did to correct the problem the other say.

  7. Rob, may I recommend Grand Sichuan on 2nd Ave. between 54th and 55th? Very authentic Sichuan food with special peppercorns and very little in the way of sauce. My two favorite dishes are “fresh sliced pork,” which is a giant mound of pork belly with spicy hot peppers, and “fresh chicken with chinese broccoli,” which is shredded chicken with green peppers (not spicy) and lots of Sichuan peppercorns, which make your mouth numb.

They have brown rice and they serve wine and beer. It’s kind of pricey for one but very reasonable for two or more.

There are other Grand Sichuans in New York but they’re not as good.

  8. Yes, ultimately it has to be a personal thing, and everyone has their own path.
For me, it’s more about a relationship than a set of rules. I don’t think God loves individuals any more or any less depending on whether they go to Church or not (or whether they are gay or not etc for that matter)
