Whole Foods Opens Up to the Community

Although construction on the Whole Foods at Third Street and Third Avenue has yet to begin, passersby have been able to take in an eyeful of the massive property for a few days now. Several panels of wooden fencing near the Third Street Bridge have been down since at least Friday night (and possibly longer), according to a source. As shown above, the site’s open to the street, which means anyone who’s so inclined can conduct a first-hand examination of the parcel’s environmentally challenged soil. The company’s progress on the clean up of that soil is, at present, unknown.
