A reader is undertaking a renovation that will necessitate moving out for the duration but was thinking of leaving most of their belongings behind. Should they be concerned about the potential for break-in and theft?
A reader is undertaking a renovation that will necessitate moving out for the duration but was thinking of leaving most of their belongings behind. Should they be concerned about the potential for break-in and theft? The work will be done on the upper floors so they were thinking of storing items in the basement. However, the basement will need to be accessed during the project and while they don’t have items of high value they would feel the loss if things were stolen.
