The yoga scene in Williamsburg will get a jolt next week when a popular Tribeca studio opens up a branch on the northside. According to the blog Well and Good NYC, Kula Yoga Project Williamsburg is set to open next Thursday in one of the commercial spaces at 85 North 3rd Street. The new studio, which is being constructed out of reclaimed wood floors from the Catskills, will also feature a shop for yoga accessories and a vegetarian cafe. GMAP
I think the spice factory was where the bull-riding restaurant is now (there’s gentrification for you).
Forgot about Moishe’s – it was great (and affordable).
ugh yeah nothing grosser than yoga fart pants!
*rob*
“On the other hand, they should put up a plaque or something for this, Williamsburg’s 3,296th yoga studio!”
haha – seriously. the one on N7th btw Berry and Wythe (that does hot yoga i guess) is gross. people chill out in front half naked and sweaty. unfortunately they are typically people i don’t want to see half naked.
On the other hand, they should put up a plaque or something for this, Williamsburg’s 3,296th yoga studio!
And Moishe’s bread, WBer. Yum.
“Northside smelled of whatever spice the spice factory on Berry (around the corner from Mast) was grinding that day.”
the factory on N4th, across the street from the steelworkers bldg? it still does smell like spice sometimes! very weird – i assumed it was some toxic chemical.
Rob – the chocolate bars might be $10, but they smell great (and it doesn’t cost anything to smell ’em!).
Once upon a time, Domino had the Southside smelling of molasses and the Northside smelled of whatever spice the spice factory on Berry (around the corner from Mast) was grinding that day.
this is good news, I love the feel of the street. hopefully they wont charge Tribeca prices
“yes 10 dollar chocolate bars made by dirty beardos. barf. that’s not chocolate you smelling, it’s the bullsh*t they are selling ahha, actually is it worth the hype and money?”
nah – you’re right – it’s overpriced. the smell sure beats typical brooklyn smells of rotting garbage though!
