  1. These are probably people who are throwing a big holiday party, not just having the folks over to open gifts with their kids, and they want the decorations to look especially fabulous. They might have the vision for what they want, we shouldn’t assume they don’t, but it’s sourcing the stuff that is SO annoyingly time consuming; it really takes professional knowledge of all the stores and sources to do it efficiently.

  2. While I think I am fairly creative, if I have the money, I would hire a professional. I just watched an HGTV special were celebs had their home professionally decorated for Christmas. The decorations were awesome.

  3. The interior decorator I do work for sometimes is booked this time of year to do exactly that for his best clients. He usually does it as a gift for them for their considerable contributions to his standard of living.

  4. Agree with Rob.

Some of you need face it. Some have more money and have the ability to do things you can’t.

Who the hell cares if they can afford nannies, chefs, decorators, drivers, etc.

You go out and pay for food right?

  5. i agree with BSD. nothing wrong with admitting something is beyond your capability and hiring someone to do it for you. if you can afford it and it makes you happy, why not? and is it surprising that people with a lot of money would lack creativity? 🙂
