In 1992, I began my NYC real estate journey with the purchase and of a dilapidated townhouse in the West Village. The neighborhood was rough around the edges and the building, an SRO, in frightening shape. Blue and black linoleum, 1970’s smoky glass panels through out the parlor and salmon orange halls. Fortunately the house had great bones. Taking a huge leap of faith and several years for hard work the property was returned to its full glory.
