About

The hallmark of Glenn Gissler’s work is process – an organized approach to design which involves the client in every phase of planning, construction and furnishing. Glenn, who earned degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design, went on to work for acclaimed designer Juan Montoya and celebrated architect Rafael Vinoly before opening his eponymous firm. He uses his rigorous architectural background to ensure that spaces – whether gut renovation or landmark property – maximize flow, and have appropriate architectural detail and visual interest.

Glenn’s role in larger residential projects often includes assisting clients in the selection of architects, landscape designers and other consultants. For these superbly conceived and constructed spaces, Glenn orchestrates furnishings, lighting and fabrics which are chosen in close collaboration with the client. Beautifully executed mill work, finishes, custom furniture, and accessories are the result. His work includes residences in Manhattan, Westchester, New Jersey and Florida, as well as summer homes on Long Island and Martha’s Vineyard.

Glenn has been included in House Beautiful’s and New York Magazine’s “100 Top Designers” list. His work is regularly featured in leading publications, including Town & Country, Elle Decor, InStyle, House & Garden, House Beautiful, American Homestyle, Avenue, Interior Design, The New York Observer and The New York Times, as well as in numerous books.
