Untamed Sandwiches makes braised meat sandwiches created with 100% sustainable ingredients, as well as veggie sandwiches that are also made with 100% sustainable ingredients. That means all the meat is free-range, grass-fed when that is what the animal is supposed to eat, hormone and antibiotic free, and in general, comes from the happiest and healthiest animals you have ever met. Our vegetables are locally raised, organic where possible, and pesticide free. There is a growing body of research that shows that eating this type of food is better for you: meat that is lower in saturated fat, calories and cholesterol but higher in protein and omega 3s, veggies that are fresh and free of unwanted additives and chemicals. We take all of that good stuff and slow cook it, unlocking amazing flavors in the process.

WHAT SUSTAINABILITY MEANS TO US
Sustainability is a buzz word that gets tossed around an awful lot these days. It can mean different things to different people, so we wanted to explain to you what sustainability means to us.
Our farmers believe that nature provides the best answers for making food taste good. They believe that constantly and naturally improving the fertility of their crop and grazing land is in their best interest and in the best interest of the environment. They also believe that allowing animals to live and eat what they want produces the best possible meat. That means grass for cattle, sheep and buffalo, natural grains and proteins for chickens and turkeys, and grass and self-foraged proteins for pigs. The bottom line is that the animals we serve eat what they want to eat, which makes them very happy. And happy animals are the principal component of amazing sandwiches.
WHO IS MAKING YOUR SANDWICH?
Untamed Sandwiches was started by Andy Jacobi and Ricky King in January 2014. They met a few years before that when Andy, a grass-fed meat guy, started talking to Ricky, a chef, about carrying grass-fed meat at his restaurants. Over many sandwiches and beers together, the two hatched the idea for Untamed Sandwiches. They brought the best of their intensive sandwich research to Untamed, and hope that you enjoy the result.
