Marker Coffee is brought to you buy Kerry and Marcel Walden. While working in St. Louis in the finance industry, Kerry gave it all up to move to NYC to follow her dream of opening a coffee shop and bakery. She graduated from the Institute of Culinary Education. Right away, she began honing her baking skills at Cheryl Klein Cakes with Betty's Bakery. From there, she worked at Bespoke Chocolate as a chocolatier, as well as Bond Street Chocolate and Kaffe 1668.
After spending enough time in the industry, it was time to find a location. As long time residents of Brooklyn, we had our hearts set on that borough. With plenty of hunting, we found our sweet spot at 241 Rogers ave in Crown Heights. The neighborhood was great with tons of life long residents who were kind enough to meet us with open arms. Now with the help of our team and Cafe Grumpy, we are ready to bring the kindness and friendly service that we try to live our lives by.
