General Assembly

General Assembly is a full service interior design studio specializing in the renovation of existing spaces.  We believe that the details of a home should come from the details of the person who inhabits it.

Each project starts with the personality, taste, and passions of our clients. Through collaborating with crafts people and a sensitivity to the site’s history, our designs create warm but clean spaces that are specific to the time, place and people who live there.  

Founded in 2011 and based in Brooklyn, NY, General Assembly’s breadth has expanded to include projects from the Hamptons to London. In this short time, our work has received international attention including features in The New York Times, T Magazine, Architectural Digest, and Elle Decor.

In addition to ground up and full renovation projects, we design custom lighting and furniture, and are available for interior consulting, styling and staging services.
