Hi all:
I’m exploring options in Philly. Can anyone please provide me with the current and up coming zip codes where I can hopefully raise childeren? Thank you.
My friend bought a small row house in Fishtown for $25k last year and has been renovating it. You can’t beat that.
Philly is a great town and you can get some adorable rowhouses for 200K in gentrifying nabes. I’d move there in a heartbeat if my husband would do it.
I knew Philly was so hot!
Actually, I was there last weekend and was very suprised at the vibrancy and general air of “happeningness” on the streets, whcih were filled with young happy people. I haven’t seen it that good for years.
Maybe it was that whole 6th Borough thing a few months back.
I don’t really value this chart. Didn’t it show an 80%+ jump in NY a while back?
This is median price in very specific neighborhoods which means that there can be either a low volume so mess things up or one time factors such as a new condo building coming on line that will skew the numbers.
While I think that local markets are important to look at I don’t think that a single zip code in a city such as NY or Philly is representative the the market. Heck, some zip codes are only one building!
