HOTD: Under The Radar in Clinton Hill
We spotted this house for sale at 130 Greene Avenue at Waverly last weekend. It looks purdy from the outside but that’s all we’ve got to go on. It looks like the house traded a year ago for $816,000 (cheap, cheap, cheap) and no improvements requiring DOB permits has been done since. It’s always amazing…

It looks like the house traded a year ago for $816,000 (cheap, cheap, cheap) and no improvements requiring DOB permits has been done since. It’s always amazing to us when owners decide to go with real estate brokers who haven’t even mastered the art of placing a listing in the New York Times. Instead of reaching thousands of potential buyers the purchasing pool is limited to what, the passers-by who happen to look up and see the sign in the window? On top of that, this small-time broker is located in Jamaica (which isn’t even spelled right on the website). Get with the program!

Maybe the owners listed it with a small broker just to keep you people from across the bridge at bay and from taking over!!!!!!
F**k u all!
I don’t know if that is a low price, it looks thoroughly run down up close. I can’t imagine how much moola is it is going to need to be fixed up. Last year it was in foreclosure, and so many sharks must have been swirling around that they finally put up a ‘This house is NOT for sale sign’ to make people stop approaching, I suppose.
Fixer-upper or not, 816k or 989k is fabulous around here.
the lot is not very large.
Seems very low. Did an unsavvy seller lose out by choosing a broker who doesn’t even know the going price in the neighborhood?
I think it is left up in the event the deal falls through. The agent said it sold $989K. This seems low.
Some agencies leave the sign up to get phone calls from prospective customers. I guess it worked…
thanks for taking the sign down!
I just called and they said that it has sold.
Hey, at least they have a website! I’ve seen listings with brokers who only have a phone number and I can’t find them advertised anywhere!
