According to the broker’s listings, there are currently four apartments listed as available, ranging in price from $1,600 for a 684-square-foot one-bedroom to $1,975 for a 1,030-square-foot two-bedroom. Whatever turns you on.

why does bricolage build ugly buildings?
Pol.,
This building is considerably closer in than Bay Ridge, although it’s near the #2 train (@ Sterling Street & Nostrand Ave.) which is somewhat slower than the Q or B, at the western end of PLG. It would be a good 8–10 minute walk to the Q or B @ Prospect Park.
I always thought that these buildings, which are on the northeast fringe of PLG, were intended to be marketed to the Hasidic residents of adjacent Crown Heights South.
Indeed the listing incorrectly lists the neighborhood as Crown Heights and the brokers appear to be orthodox, but there is no mention of features that appeal to the ultra-orthodox, like sabbath elevators or two sink kitchens, so I might have been mistaken.
Never understood these rents. If you’re going to live that far out, why not go to Bay Ridge where you can get a perfectly fine 1-bedroom for $1,200?
Seriously, how nice can these places be?
Maybe they are going to try and get Section 8 vouchers…
the rents for a one bedroom there are just 800 youre saying? seriously if that’s the case, sign me up… what is the area like anyway?
*rob*
is this a joke?
I know this nabe. I live just a few blocks away. Those rents are close to double the going rate in that area and there are at least 100 units of unsold condos within a few blocks of this place. Also, the half built structure next to it has been like that for over 2 years. The yellow sideboard used to be bright yellow. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but landlords/developers need to wake up to the new realty.
