This three-bedroom, two-bath duplex in Bed Stuy is spacious and freshly renovated. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher, and there’s a washer and dryer upstairs. And there are a few decorative mantels.
It seems like a good fit for a family or a group of roommates who are willing to pay a little more ($1,166 per room split three ways). What do you think of it for $3,500 a month?

I believe the technical term for this sort of apartment is “polished turd.”
Sorry, but no way! The “master bedroom” looks to have ceilings no more than 5 or 6 feet tall, at best. Also, it isn’t even an enclosed space. It’s more appropriately like a kids play area, except for the metal spiral staircase. And with that you’re down to a not large 2 bedroom apt, the larger of which has no closet. And top floor walk up. It is true that the second bathroom and washer/dryer are big bonuses. Someone will probably pay this amount, but it shouldn’t be more than $3000 tops.
