We dig this lovely four-bedroom, two-bath duplex in Fort Greene, which comes with lots of original details and a private deck. The 2,000-square-foot pad has a renovated galley kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a sizable pantry, as well as a large living room and formal dining room that opens onto the deck. There’s also a shared garden and laundry in the building. The one drawback we see is that both bathrooms are on the upper floor. The asking rent is $6,000. Do you think it will fly?

It looks like a very lovely place, but if I’m understanding this properly, and I may well not be, this duplex is the two middle floors. If that’s the case, I think it adds some negatives, such as having others both above and below, but the main one is that rather than having the nice, original staircase for going between your floors, you have to use an added internal circular staircase. Those no picture of that, but that’s never better than the original staircase, especially with kids.
