It seems many “transitional” neighborhoods such as this area and South Slope continue to appreciate while “subprime” areas are still 40 percent down (as they should be) and “prime” are off 20 percent.
We should call this the “Wasder effect.”
It’s like microclimates only for economies.
Wasderland! Hah. Thanks BHO. Somehow things are selling for more around me than they were in 2007 and 08. I can’t explain it except to postulate that the swift arrival of new amenities has attracted buyers who were formerly looking more in “traditional” parts of Clinton Hill. Who knows…but I do know that this is a neighborhood on the ups and that makes me happy.
Deflation is coming. We’ll all be screwed.
