  1. I’m surprised anybody cares about these listings anymore considering the market is in a free fall and will be for years.

It’s 1/3rd the cost to rent, so why in the world spend so much more to buy, especially since you’re investment is so obviously heading down the toilet?

  2. How can you rent the garden floor without the tenants using or being able to see youuse the yard?

Yes, I know this is harsh and unfriendly, but I would way rather have tenants under me than above except for this problem.

But, hm, yeah, it might be hard to rent a garden floor without one of the huge draws — the, duh, garden. You’d definitely have to lower the rent, huh.

  3. I like the Park Place house renovation but thought the same thing about the garden rental, Park Sloper. I wouldn’t give the backyard to tenants nor do I want to feel on display to tenants while hanging in my garden. I always think this kind of layout is perfect for those who want a grandparents/guest apt. Then they can use the garden apt as a tv room and party space when they don’t have guests.

  4. permit may not have been issued when complaint made…but eventually (11/20/09) applied for permit and was received. (per DOB acris).

  5. Yes, it’s a bit odd. One would have to see it in person. The other 2 houses are lovely, the prices seem a bit aggressive but not insanely so in light of the recent sales.
I can’t imagine a lawyer would let anyone close on 65PPW without a liability release. The buyer would inherit the DOB and the LPC violations.
