“Re Bainbridge: claw tub? no thanks. Tin ceiling? Hate em. 2- rentals? At least 1 too many.” (DeadCatBounce)
This is hilarious. Who hates claw foot tubs and tin ceilings??? You freak.
Bainbridge – my least favorite set-up, with “owner’s duplex” open to common stairs, bedrooms (although seems to be used as a living room now) on the parlor floor and public spaces on the ground floor. You give up so much of the house to tenants and end up cramped below. No privacy, no space.
Bainbridge rocks! And it ought to be priced aggressively. That is a beautiful house with rental income, on a beautiful block, in Stuy Heights, and near public transportation. The market will dictate what it finally sells for, of course. And it will sell. Maybe not for $929K but this house is no handyman special begging to be rescued by ambitious bargain hunters in a down market either.
If I am not mistaken, all the OH have been HOTD, so not much to add to those comments. It looks like the realtors added more pictures on the Bainbridge house; I still think it’s overpriced, there is that pesky issue of 3 kitchens in a 2-family, but what gorgeous details!
Check out the Bay Ridge “Norwegian kitchen”; if I lived there, I would not need coffee in the morning any more. Yowza!
Pricing is a tad aggressive on the Bainbridge St. house. While the house is well located in terms of Fulton St. park and the proximity to an express subway station at Utica Ave.
I would like to see if the owners of this house will adjust the selling price or will it sit in an island of optimistic pricing in a sea of price cuts.
Bainbridge says it’s a 2-family house, so one of those rentals will have to go anyway.
