MNS: Another Rental Report

Rents were down in Bed Stuy but up in Fort Greene during the month of August, concluded MNS’ monthly rental report on Brooklyn rents. Bed Stuy rental prices peaked for the year (so far) in May and June. Average studio rental prices declined $60 across the borough since July, although in Boerum Hill they rose 10 percent in August. But overall, as we keep hearing, rents have increased in Brooklyn since the same period last year. Rents on two-bedroom apartments increased 9.2 percent; one-bedrooms went up 7.1 percent; and studios increased 6.8 percent. Data is based on available listings.
