Long Line Around BAM?
This morning we spotted this long line of twenty-somethings snaking up Fulton, around onto Ashland towards BAM; a friend told us that he saw people in tents last night in front of Mark Morris. What’s going on? American Idol auditions?

It must be to preview/prebuy a new condo development. Oh wait……no.
Ah – thanks for solving this mystery, makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, their sporadic and wild cheering woke me up this morning! Thanks guys!
Among other things, the winner of Project Runway gets $100,000. I read a New York Magazine article about Jeffrey Sebelia, in which they were trying to say the same thing- that winning the show didn’t really get him anywhere. But they did say that he paid off the debt he had incurred in launching his business. So that’s something!
I own a small design business myself. I know that if I won $100,000 that would be huge. Yes, it’s up to the designer to do what he/she can with the leads and money they win. But to say that it does nothing for their career?
Remixxd is right. Only the shows that give a longer term contract or job actually do anything for the winner. HGTV’s Design Star winners get a real career out of it because they win their very own show on the network. Which are turning out to be good shows. Top Model is a joke, none of those girls become models much less top models. I love Project Runway, but it doesn’t do a thing for the winners.
You win the title of, “Douche that can dance”
I saw 2 tents set up right outside the door of the center last night. People actually camped out for this show. It’s amazing because what exactly do you win? At least other shows like Idol give you record contracts.
Soup line
well you know they are not waiting online for a job fair.
maybe they’re lining up to vote.
