There are some amazing 1930s piles scattered among the McMansions of Midwood.
Re: Midwood, I would love to see a statistical analysis of price per sq. ft. as a function of proximity to a spiritually or socially desirable shul, or location within an eruv.
take those prices and double them! then, sell them to your grandma.
Surprised that the Clinton St. house sold for only $1.8. I though it was listed a much more. (BTW -3 story plus garden level).
I lived a few doors down from there until 1986 for about 8 years. During that time, there seemed to be a man with emotional problems that habitated the garden level until maybe 1984. Rest of house never used.
Since then – have never seen any lights or use of house.
So I would say pretty much unoccupied for decades.
Those Midwood prices are making my head spin.
