  1. 12:19, I figure this must be a re-sell, not one of the the original sponsor sales, but $1000 a foot seems like a lot. I think the larger apartments are more in the $800-$900 range, but I could be wrong.

  2. Whoa, I’m not making a personal analysis of the situation – just letting you know what banks are doing.

Also, $750 a square foot is maybe a tad above market, but this property has a good location and is just 3 blocks from schaeffer landing. Lugers is also not too far away.

Residential real estate is crazy is in this country now with the banks creating trillions of dollars out of thin air, but this is less crazy than elsewhere in the country.

  3. “yeah, polemicist. ’cause everyone knows the market is on fire. $750 sq. ft is a real bargain, especially with rates up. get in now before it’s too late! this is going to be a record year for wall street bonuses and they all want south williamsburg…”

Can I walk to the new Apple store from there? If so, I’ll go over the buyer at 675,000, and I’ll take one on the same block for my mother and one to flip. My barkeep is willing to state that I make $1.5 per, plus bonus. He won’t sign anything to that effect–says it would violate his parole. Know where I can get a loan?

  4. I am sure that whoever purchased the Ditmas Park house has the pockets for a decent restoration. It will be gem when it is complete. I would love to see it on the neighborhoods house tour when it is finished.

  6. The Ditmas Park house was in contract before the New York Magazine article came out. It is another example, however, of New York Magazine’s poor journalism. They got the price wrong and estimated a ridiculously low cost to renovate.
