That’s my place! For the record, we went into contract in February and closed on May 14th. Not sure why it’s just showing up now. The apt needs work–we’re saving for a new kitchen–but I feel we got a deal for that location (8th st, park block) and amount of space at 635k. We went to the first open house and made an offer that evening. Technically it’s a 2-br plus office/nursery, so there’s a decent amount of room for a family with 1 or 2 small kids (that’s us). Happy to be there, kids will go to 107, no plans to move for several years.
10:58 here – Not sure it’s propaganda, just very dated information. If the market went up, it would indicate lower than market prices.
Brownstoner – as a suggestion, when you post these “Just Solds” please note the date when these properties actually closed.
Heed should be taken to 10:58. Without close dates, these listings misguide public perception about the market and wreak of propoganda.
been watching those E. 7th street new construction monstrosities. Man, they are ugly –inside and out.
10:58 is right – Did close in the end of May according to P-Shark. Either way, it is a nice place and exactly the kind of place and price range I have looking for.
Geez, everyone’s a critic. Do your own research if you think the Times is too slow.
Streeteasy shows 523 Eight Street as having closed in May.
This is useful information, thanks Brownstoner.
Do you any properties that were “just sold”, in, say, 2003?
