  1. Please let us know once you find out something. I have to say, there was someone in BSW who decided to renovate their pretty much untouched Victorian (they have owned it for a very long time) and were originally going to go with aluminum siding. One of our pro-restoration neighbors was able to convince them that cedar shakes were the way to go. One voice can make a difference!

    I intend to do that but the new owners haven’t yet moved in. Although I must say that the day we moved into this neighborhood we had about 10 neighbors stop by to greet us and it really made the transition much nicer.

  3. This future of this Midwood Park house is of interest to me because I live on the block. The new owners are actually already at work on the interior. Unsure exactly what they’re doing, but I do know that alot of stuff needs to be remedied just to make it livable in the near-term. Not sure what the plan is for the exterior, but I’m currently optimistic that it will be done right. I hope so at least…

  4. The Mary Kay house was the featured Diamond in the Rough… Virtually untouched in terms of period detail, but needing all new everything else. Still, I think this house is a terrific opportunity for the right buyer. Let’s hope the new owner does it justice and doesn’t start cladding it in brick. Midwood Park, which is really beautiful, is not landmarked… If the new owner is out there and wants to share his or her plans for the place, please let us know.
