Wow, this new listing at 931 Saint Marks Avenue in Crown Heights is friggin’ gorgeous! The original woodwork, mirrors and built-ins are really incredible. The Renaissance Revival facade is also very handsome and the fact that the house is on a cul de sac adds to the charm. Only real bummer–and it’s easily fixed–is the chain link fence in the back yard. This place is asking $925,000, which is on the high end for the neighborhood, but this is also an unusually impressive pad.

  1. because it will be harder to get a mortgage for over-priced houses and because people will be afraid to commit to a house if they are afraid their jobs are in jeopardy or their companies will downsize further or go under altogether.
    Another recession could be devastating.
