We’re not excited about the interior details in this standard-issue flip, but in the current market, $599,000 strikes us as a decent deal for a house in move-in condition in central Bushwick. Another plus is that it’s configured as a floor-through apartment over an owner’s duplex, a setup that is surprisingly difficult to find in Bushwick, where almost everything is a multifamily with one apartment per floor. Some possible red flags, though: The house is legally a one-family, according to the listing, so a buyer might have to tear out a kitchen to get financing, and the basement was dug out to make the ceiling higher — hopefully for the buyer that work was done legally and with the proper permits.
